General Guidelines

  • This list is not exhaustive; it is designed to give you a brief overview of thetypes of items acceptable for eBay that Donations2Dollars accepts.
  • If you have questions about if an item can be donated, please contact theD2D office at your organization, and they will happily answer anyquestions or concerns.
  • Generally, any item with a current value of $30 that weights under 50 pounds is a great donation.
    • Items of lower value are acceptable as well, but our goal is to average $30 – $50/donation.
  • If you have original packaging/boxes, documentation, or any other paperwork that is relevant to the donation, please bring it—it will increase the final sold price.
  • At this time, D2D is not accepting used clothing or furniture.
    • The exception is logo/branded sporting apparel that can be sold as collectibles.
    • Clothing Accessories like scarves, gloves, pins, hats, purses are acceptable.
  • If you are interested in donating a high-value item (over $5,000) it is necessary to have it appraised, and you must attach a form to your tax return.
    • Please contact the D2D office at your non-profit to discuss how we
      can assist in this process.
  • Remember: You will receive a tax deduction for the value your donated
    items sell for, and Giving Credit that will help support your non-profit
    organization!
  • eBay prohibits the sale of firearms, tobacco and liquor.
    • Probably needless to say any illegal item(s) and /or counterfeit
      items are also prohibited.

  • If you own a small business, and are interested in donating unused
    inventory/merchandise to get off your balance sheet and/or receive a tax
    deduction please contact the D2D office.
